We’re not changing our mission…
We are adding an important aspect to our name!
We are happy to announce that the Texas Association for Home Care will now be known as the Texas Association for Home Care & Hospice! Our mission has been and continues to be "to promote quality and economic viability of licensed providers of home and community support services in Texas." This includes hospice, licensed home health, licensed and certified home health, and personal assistance services categories of licensure, While each category has its own unique aspects and needs, it is recognized that hospices provide many services in inpatient facilities (hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice inpatient settings) and therefore the term "home care" no longer captures them completely.
During the next few weeks, we will keep our domain www.tahc.org, while the new site www.tahch.org is getting its final tweaks! Once the new site is launched, you will be issued a new username and password via email. When you log in to the new site, you will now be able to view and even update information we have on file for your organization.
It’s an exciting time for our industry, with many challenges and opportunities ahead! We are pleased to be able to continue to provide your agency resources to provide quality care and to be successful in an ever changing environment. Also, our name pronunciation will remain the same (Tak) and our acronym will be TAHC&H.
